Justice Currey

From the Marines to Netflix to coaching hundreds of clients, Justice brings military discipline, a decade of expertise, and genuine care to every program he builds.

Justice has been training since age 11. What started as a personal pursuit of strength became a lifelong commitment to helping others transform their bodies and their relationship with fitness. After serving in the United States Marine Corps from June 2013 to June 2017 as a Marine Corps Rifleman stationed at San Clemente, Justice brought the same discipline, structure, and attention to detail from military service into his coaching career.

With over a decade of hands-on experience, Justice has spent years studying biomechanics, programming structure, and long-term progression. He doesn't believe in shortcuts or quick fixes. His approach blends disciplined structure with realistic expectations, helping clients build sustainable results instead of chasing short-term extremes. Fitness, in his view, should be measurable, intentional, and built to last.

Today, Justice trains clients at Illuminate Heights, a 19,000 sq ft independent gym in Houston's Heights neighborhood known for its serious lifting culture and community-driven atmosphere. Between his own client roster and building Heatwave with Bilal, Justice has dedicated his career to one thing: helping people train with structure, intention, and accountability.

Audiences may also recognize Justice from Netflix's Love Is Blind Season 5, the Houston season that premiered September 22, 2023. Among 28 Houston singles entering the pods, Justice stood out—his occupation listed as Personal Trainer, his personality grounded and genuine. The show brought national attention to his coaching philosophy: that real connection, whether in relationships or coaching, requires honesty, patience, and investment. His appearance was covered by the Houston Chronicle, Variety, Elle, Screen Rant, and Entertainment Weekly, among others.

I am passionate about helping others achieve their goals in fitness, and in life.

Bilal Ahmed

The accountability engine behind Heatwave. Bilal's coaching turns inconsistent gym-goers into disciplined, self-sufficient athletes who understand their training inside and out.

Bilal co-founded Heatwave Training with a clear mission: teach clients how to train correctly for life. While many online weight loss coaches focus on rapid results and dramatic before-and-after photos, Bilal builds coaching around the habits and systems that make results permanent.

His approach centers on accountability, habit structure, and long-term client development. As a fitness accountability coach, Bilal doesn't just tell you what to do in the gym. He tracks your daily steps, monitors your sleep and hydration, reviews your nutrition logs, and holds you to the standard you set for yourself. His coaching emphasizes consistency, proper form, and gradual progression, ensuring clients understand the process instead of blindly following a plan.

This emphasis on understanding is what makes Bilal's clients successful long after their coaching engagement ends. He believes that a great coach makes themselves unnecessary over time. Every rep, every call, every text exchange is designed to build your knowledge and independence so that you eventually own your fitness journey completely.

Together with Justice, Bilal has built Heatwave into a coaching system where no client falls through the cracks. Between the two of them, every program is reviewed, every form video is watched, and every question gets a real answer from a real person.

“My goal is simple: teach clients how to train correctly for life.”

our approach

How Heatwave Coaching Actually Works

Every transformation at Heatwave is built on the same three pillars. Whether your goal is weight loss, strength, or simply building a consistent routine, our methodology adapts to you while the principles stay the same.

Accountability That Works

Most people don't fail because they lack knowledge. They fail because no one is watching. At Heatwave, your fitness accountability coach reviews your daily habits, checks your training logs, and follows up when things slip. This isn't about judgment. It's about having someone invested in your progress who notices when you show up and when you don't. That level of attention changes behavior faster than any workout plan ever could.

Habit Building Over Willpower

Willpower runs out. Habits don't. Our online nutrition coaching and habit tracking system focuses on building small, repeatable behaviors that stack over time. Instead of overhauling your entire life on day one, we add one habit at a time: hitting your step count, drinking enough water, getting to bed on time. These unglamorous changes are what separate people who maintain their results from people who bounce between programs every three months.

Your Program Advances Every Week

Every program is built on progressive overload—gradually increasing training demands over time. Your coach tracks volume, monitors progression, and adjusts based on real data. Structured programming that keeps you improving without burnout or plateaus. See the full methodology →

Beyond the Gym

Online Nutrition Coaching That Fits Your Life

Most online weight loss coaches hand you a meal plan full of foods you'd never eat. That approach fails almost every time. At Heatwave, our online nutrition coaching is built around your real life: your preferences, your schedule, your budget, and the restaurants you eat at on weekends.

Your coach works with you to set practical targets, whether that means tracking macros, focusing on protein intake, or simply improving one meal at a time. We pair nutrition guidance with daily habit tracking that monitors your steps, sleep, and hydration because all of these factors affect your results in the gym.

This holistic approach is why Heatwave clients see results that last. We're not optimizing for a six-week transformation photo. We're building a nutrition framework you can maintain for years, adjusting as your body composition changes and your goals evolve.

Our Promise

Why We Cap at 100–150 Clients

In an industry where most online coaching businesses scale to thousands of clients with automated check-ins and generic programming, we made a deliberate choice to stay small.

We cap our roster at 100–150 clients. That's the most we can coach at the level we demand of ourselves. Every client gets a custom-built program. Every form video gets reviewed by a real coach. Every weekly call is a genuine coaching session, not a scripted check-in. And every text message gets a thoughtful, personal response.

This isn't a scarcity tactic. It's a quality commitment. When you work with an online weight loss coach at Heatwave, you're not a line item in a spreadsheet. You're one of a carefully managed number of clients who receive focused, individualized attention from coaches who know your name, your goals, your limitations, and your progress trajectory.

When our roster is full, new applicants join a waitlist. We'd rather turn people away than compromise the coaching experience for the clients who trust us with their goals.

What We Stand For

Our Values

Most virtual personal trainers hand you a PDF and disappear. Heatwave is built on four pillars that keep you progressing and supported every day.

Discipline

Rooted in military service and years of training, discipline is the foundation of everything we build. Not punishment. Structure.

01

Honesty

We tell you what you need to hear, not what you want to hear. Real progress requires honest coaching and honest self-assessment.

02

Sustainability

We don't chase extremes. Every program, every nutrition plan, and every habit is designed to be maintained for life, not just for a photo.

03

Intentionality

Every set, every rep, every coaching call has a purpose. Nothing in your program is random, and nothing is wasted.
